The Banana Signal
Two tasters detected banana in ChatGPT's cookie independently. No banana was in the recipe. The cause: melted (not browned) butter retains isoamyl acetate — the ester responsible for banana candy flavor. Browning destroys it via the Maillard reaction.
ChatGPT taste score: 5/10. Taster rejected ChatGPT and chose Claude as their favorite. The banana note was the deciding factor — the only taster whose defection from ChatGPT has a clear recipe-level explanation.
